Job Description/ Responsibilities: *Set molds and perform set up changes and color changes to meet production demands *Follow molding process parameters to ensure part quality *Monitor production for accuracy and efficiency and work with quality inspectors to identify defects *Troubleshoot process, machine, and auxiliary equipment problems and make necessary changes to ensure quality and reduce downtime *Follow Lean initiatives to ensure cleanliness and productivity of the Plant *Promote safety by abiding by all related policies and procedures *Participate in training initiatives designed to improve skill sets **Ability to work weekends**
Skills: *Moderate computer skills *Strong mechanical aptitude *Team player with good attitude and strong work ethic *Must be able to lift 55 lbs and stand or walk for entire 8 hour shift *Desire to train and learn new skills

Job Description/ Responsibilities: This position performs routine duties associated with inspecting the quality of molded plastic parts made from injection molding machines and assembly machines. Duties include part gauging, visual inspection, trimming, sorting, assembly, weighing/counting, and packing parts. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a neat and orderly work area in accordance with 5S standards, adhering to safety polices, making boxes, preparing production tickets and grinder operation. This position must be able to work from verbal and written instructions as well as utilize company production software programs from computer terminals. Performs simple gauging on parts as assigned by the foreman using various measuring tools such as plug gages, and go / no go gages. Performs start ups on all presses and is responsible for all blueprints, forms, etc. required. Performs complex gauging on all presses using various measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, plug gages, and fixtures.
Skills: Must be able to stand / walk for an entire eight hour shift * Must be able to lift 30 pounds on a semi-regular basis * Proficient in reading / writing English * Computer proficient
Years of experience: Competent in inspection procedures and the use of measuring equipment applicable to the classification level

Job Description/ Responsibilities: OVERALL ROLE: Profit and Loss responsibility for South Side Molding Plants and Assembly. Provide overall leadership and management for these departments. Work with plant managers to assure on time delivery of quality products to our customers. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: MANAGEMENT/LEADERSHIP: *Coordinate manufacturing activities between South Side plants, working to maximize press utilization and labor efficiencies. Facilitate the movement of plant resources between plants as needed. *Set direction for South Side plant managers to obtain optimum efficiency of operations and maximize profits. *Develop plans for efficient use of resources, including personnel, materials, machines, and auxiliary equipment across all South Side plants and Assembly. *Exhibit strong communication skills to lead teams through plant improvements to make them more efficient, more organized and more profitable. *Consult with other departments (tooling, maintenance, quality, scheduling, sales, customer service, engineering, purchasing, and human resources) as needed to execute on South Side Plant and Assembly objectives, and satisfy company and customer requirements. *Evaluate the South Side Manufacturing and Assembly equipment needs and make recommendations to upper management. Consider ways to improve plant layout and production flows. Support requests with ROI calculations as appropriate. PRODUCTION/QUALITY/CUSTOMER SERVICE *Responsible for providing Customers with products on time per their specifications. *Work to improve the quality performance of the South Side plants and Assembly, driving down PPMs. *Work to continuously improve productivity, efficiency, quality, cost, and delivery as measured by performance metrics. Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles where appropriate. *Promote the use of Lean manufacturing techniques, including CIT teams and 5 S projects. *Review quality and production reports and direct the resolution of quality and manufacturing problems, to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. *Work on other projects throughout the building as assigned. TECHNOLOGY/NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT *Promote the companys efforts to utilize decouple 2 molding techniques and RJG technology. *Participate as needed in the new product development process. Encourage the use of sound project management techniques. SAFETY AND STAFF DEVELOPMENT *Work through staff to develop manufacturing employees to ensure the existence of a capable and reliable workforce. *Advise and assist subordinate managers in handling personnel problems; advise on and approve wage changes, transfers, discharges and work assignments. *Promote a positive and safe work environment by enforcing company policy *Keep informed of technical and management developments to assure continued personal growth and to coach others toward optimum performance.
Skills: Experience with root cause analysis logic used to solve difficult and repetitive problems.* Ability to perform difficult work on highly technical or involved projects, presenting new or constantly changing problems.
Years of experience: College degree in industrial eng, production ops mgmt or mfg related field, or equiv training & job exp *10 yrs sup or mgmt exp mfg & assmbly, w/ exposure to plastic molding and/or assmbly ops
