The Plant

Hoffer Plastics has an air-conditioned manufacturing facility in South Elgin, Illinois, including a total of 7 molding areas or plants under the direction of 5 plant managers. Each plant is operated as a small company dedicated to providing our customers with the best and individualized attention. Our interdisciplinary teams recognize and reinforce lean manufacturing practices to ensure all customers benefit from our continuous improvement, flexibility and responsiveness.

Managers utilize a daily computer report to measure plant productivity to assure maximum efficiency. Molds are generally never moved from their assigned plant, assuring consistent, dependable service. Weekly safety and housekeeping programs are also high priorities. Plant keeping inspections are followed by safety committee meetings to ensure that the highest safety standards are maintained.
