ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary responsibility is to support the business systems environment at Hoffer Plastics, including development as needed. This role would be responsible for ensuring that all assigned tasks are completed on-time and within budget. This role will also act as a liaison between the Company’s users and technical staff.

  • Develop new software applications using Alpha 5, Microsoft SQL, JavaScript, Microsoft Access and SQL Reporting Services, etc.
  • Modify existing Alpha 5 application.
  • Develop interfaces between existing software packages.
  • Develop and modify SQL Reporting Service reports.
  • Work with multiple vendors to resolve issues related to the integration and functioning of our software.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the technologies implemented and supported within the company’s environment. This knowledge must be gained through structured, hands-on experience and training courses. Share knowledge and experience with other members of the IT team.
  • Continue documentation of the environment, including adds/moves/changes, upgrades and enhancements.
  • Work within established processes, procedures and tools, and participate in the development of those items.
  • Adhere to the priorities set by the IT management team.
  • Assist with application administration duties as requested by the IT Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three-to-five years of related programming experience with an emphasis on Business systems.
  • Degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of relational database concepts
  • Object-oriented programming skills
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft SQL server 2008 or later, including database design, Views, Stored Procedures, and SQL Reporting Services.
  • Knowledge and experience with web technologies (e.g. HTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery etc.)
  • Flexibility, strong customer service orientation and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Organizational and communication skills essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Preferred but not required:

  • Alpha 5 / Alpha Anywhere experience
  • XBasic programming experience.
  • Microsoft Access programming experience
  • XML
  • AS400 RPG.

Set Up/Molding Technicianapply now

Current openings are on 2nd (4pm – 12am) and 3rd shift (12am-8am), Monday through Friday. Overtime is available on weekends depending on production demand. No experience is necessary. Extensive training programs are offered to give candidates the job skills needed. We are simply looking for motivated, enthusiastic people with a desire to learn and grow with our company.

Responsibilities

  • Set molds and perform set up changes and color changes to meet production demands
  • Follow molding process parameters to ensure part quality
  • Monitor production for accuracy and efficiency and work with quality inspectors to identify defects
  • Troubleshoot process, machine, and auxiliary equipment problems and make necessary changes to ensure quality and reduce downtime
  • Follow Lean initiatives to ensure cleanliness and productivity of the Plant
  • Promote safety by abiding by all related policies and procedures
  • Participate in training initiatives designed to improve skill sets

Qualifications

  • Minimum education of High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Must be able to lift 55 pounds on a semi-regular basis
  • Must be able to stand / walk for an entire eight hour shift
  • Proficient in reading / writing English

Inspector Technicianapply now

Responsibilities

  • Makes boxes, moves raw material and finished goods as needed
  • Helps maintain cleanliness in the Plant by doing assigned cleaning tasks
  • Promote safety by abiding by all related policies and procedures
  • Performs visual inspections on assigned presses and completes all required forms and documentation associated with production
  • Performs simple gauging on parts as assigned by the foreman using various measuring tools such as plug gages, and go / no go gages
  • Performs start-ups on all presses and is responsible for all blueprints, forms, etc. required
  • Performs required complex gauging on all presses using various measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, plug gages, and fixtures

Qualifications

  • Minimum education of High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate
  • Competent in inspection procedures and the use of measuring equipment applicable to the classification level
  • Must be able to successfully complete the “C” level Inspector Technician training program
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds on a semi-regular basis
  • Must be able to stand / walk for an entire eight hour shift
  • Proficient in reading / writing English
  • Computer proficient
