Custom Molding

Hoffer Plastics has 91 custom injection molding machines to meet all of our customers' needs. These are divided into 7 manufacturing areas or plants, each under their own management guidance. Each molding room has a plant manager, foreman, assistant foremen, and operators and is actually a molding company unto themselves.

At Hoffer Plastics, we are large enough to meet virtually any specification, yet small enough to provide personal, individualized service in each one of our molding rooms. Our dedication to excellence in manufacturing appeals to customers large and small who demand quality from start to finish. Our molding capability transcends all types of molded parts from small, very intricate, single-cavity molds, to high production molds in excess of 200 cavities producing over one and a half million parts per day. In each instance the customer's tooling is carefully monitored, put on a preventative maintenance schedule, and overseen very carefully in order to assure that their tooling is ready to make acceptable parts at any time.

Our molding facility consists of 7 molding rooms comprising between 12-16 presses. Each molding room is managed to accomplish a lean work environment.

Six toolrooms maintain, set up, and repair molds using modern state-of-the-art equipment. This includes EDM, jig grinding, as well as CAD-CAM/CNC machining capabilities. Each toolroom foreman meets daily with production personnel to review needs in order to accomplish the fastest turnaround of any tooling repair to meet the customer's needs. All records of repair are maintained in a computer network, as well as spare parts inventory. In our continuous improvement environment, we review daily the productivity, quality, cavitation, and scrap in each molding room to assure us that there is improvement being driven at every level of the organization.
